Welcome to the Official Website for Aman'Thul's Shen An Calhar!
Shen an Calhar (SaC) is an established, Family-Orientated Guild located on the World of Warcraft Oceanic server, Aman'Thul. We are based in Australia / New Zealand, but welcome members from all around the world playing on Aman'Thul. We've been together since the server opened in June of 2006, and have been witness to the rise (and fall) of many of The Heroes of the Age!
We are committed to making the gameplay experience for our Guild Members in WoW fun, and we support each other in our quest to find honour and glory in Azeroth.
The guild name, Shen an Calhar, comes from Robert Jordan's series of books, The Wheel of Time, and is Old Tongue for Band of the Red Hand, a legendary, elite fighting force which has been reforged in the latest age to fight against the powers of the Shadow.
While many of our members are WoT fans, it is not a prerequisite to joining with us in Azeroth. In fact, we are always open to accepting new members of any class and level, as long as they live by the single most important rule in our guild... by showing Respect to your guildmates and other players in the game, you will uphold the reputation of our guild on the server.

KARA ....again
what with the acievments system and several guildies who never got around to running Kara what say we get a run together ?
Big welcome from the officersand that other person (the 1 who impersonates the GL occasionaly) to all the members who have joined over the last few days. Guys don't forget to register with Birg for full access, He sometimes takes a whist to process registrations so give me a holla in-game and I'll give you a temp account so you can get to the good stuff. Also please read the guild rules and have a look at the addons used. Any member is welcome to use the vent server but it does get priority for members in an instance or a raid. We currently only have 10 slots so it does limit use. Other than that we hope you enjoy your time in SaC and feel free to ask for help. Um one more thing please check out the "Introducing the guild thread" ( http://www.guildportal.com/Guild.aspx?GuildID=203529&TabID=1718102&ForumID=956341&TopicID=7242308&GuildThreadMsgID=36188249 ) so you can get a feel as to who the lvl 70's are.
It is with sadness that I inform you of the passing away of the Wheel of Time author, James Oliver Rigney, Jr. (aka. Robert Jordan) on September 16, 2007 in South Carolina, USA. Just a heads up: due to request, we will be moving back toward integration with WoW in-game roster information via an Add-On, instead of directly connecting to the armory. This will require uploading a saved variables file (instructions will be given) to update your roster info. However, there are many benefits. For one, rank names will again show (instead of just numbers), the add-on also supports uploading to even follow-ups so that you don't have to manually enter drops, and more functionality can be added as we go. Just want to give some notice before it happens, within the next couple days. This will not be the same add-on we used to run, but a new one. More details will follow!

Fixing shout box text input so that the page doesn't do a full postback when you add a new shout (currently only a problem in IE).

Fixed a problem with forums that had posts showing "No Posts!" in the main forum listing. However, the fix will only apply moving forward (after a new post is added).

Due to popular request, added back the grid spacing for common tables. Only affects guilds not using custom CSS.

Adding detection of StateBar (the wrapper CSS class for the login area at the top of guild pages) CSS rule for guilds using custom CSS. If it's not there, the rule will be added at render with properties that will make the display uniform to the site.

Fixing up some ContentTable css rules, so that if custom stylesheets do not specify a width, it is added automatically. The ContentTable is a relatively new class, and represents tabular, or grid-like, content within content boxes.
